            Basketball Recap: Westside Seminoles vs. Morgan County Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            On Friday, the Westside Seminoles were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  54-50 to the Morgan County Bulldogs. While the Seminoles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs  15-11 in the first  quarter.

 When it comes to explaining why Westside lost, don't look at  Christian Little. Despite the final result, he  went 6 for 9  on his way to 20  points. Little's evening made it three games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points.  Tr'Kivan Pringle also deserves some recognition as  he  grabbed his first  steal of the season.
  Zeki Locus had an outrageously good game for Morgan County as he  dropped  a double-double on 13 points and ten  boards. Another player making a difference was  Kobi Jefferies, who  posted nine  points and eight  rebounds.
Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Morgan County, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record  this season.
 Westside has already played their next contest,  a  65-57  loss against Veterans on the 4th. As for Morgan County, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  64-25  victory against Rutland on the 7th.
