Softball Recap: Liberty Christian Comes Up Short

Liberty Christian extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-3 in the process. They lost 12-1 to the Anderson Indians. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Liberty Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brelle Ray, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. Avari Stanley was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.

As for Anderson, they now have a winning record of 2-1. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Liberty Christian: they've now won eight in a row.

On Anderson's side, they let Emma Wilson and Leticia Armenta run wild. Wilson went 2-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and one run, while Armenta went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Armenta has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Maryah Elliot, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Liberty Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Pendleton Heights on the 17th. As for Anderson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-4 loss against Lapel on the 18th.
