Volleyball Recap: River Falls' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

River Falls came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lakeland Thunderbirds. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since September 28, 2024.

Brooke Dusek paced River Falls' offense, picking up 11 kills. Dusek got some help from Allie Larsen and her 16 assists. Dusek also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Olivia Doerre, racking up four apiece.

River Falls' victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, River Falls will square off against River Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Lakeland, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ladysmith at 6:00 p.m. on September 11.
