Harrison won the last time they faced Talawanda, and Mitchell Mercurio did his part to make sure it happened again. The Harrison Wildcats walked away with a 51-40 win over the Talawanda Brave on Tuesday thanks to Mercurio, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 22 points. Those 22 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Lawhon, who posted six points and six rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Harrison and bumps their season record up to 8-13. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 35.1% in those games and 26% outside of them. As for Talawanda, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Coming up, Harrison will be playing in front of their home fans against Mariemont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Talawanda does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
