Recap: Andrew Jackson Tigers vs. Baker County Wildcats
The Andrew Jackson Tigers were the 21-14 winner over the Baker County Wildcats when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Andrew Jackson lost to Baker County on the road by a decisive 31-14 margin on Friday. Andrew Jackson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Andrew Jackson took the loss, they still got scores from Malachi Pierce and Lamar Stanfield.
Leading Baker County to victory were Benny Lewis and Hudson Register. Lewis rushed for 183 yards while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, while Register rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
Andrew Jackson has fallen quite a ways from their 8-3 record last season and are now at 3-5. As for Baker County, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3.
Andrew Jackson will take on Raines at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Raines will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Baker County, they will head out on the road to face off against Fernandina Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fernandina Beach will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 309th, while Baker County is ranked 147th).
