Florin won the last time they faced Foothill and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Panthers pulled ahead with a 7-6 photo finish over the Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Florin's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jazira Arteaga-Khandilyan, Anaiyaliz Guzman, and Jayda Lewis, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Florin's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Foothill, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Florin will take on rival Fairfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Foothill is set to square off against their familiar foe Armijo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
