Volleyball Recap: Oakmont Find Success

Oakmont posted their closest win since April 18, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the West Campus Warriors 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Troy Maxsom paced Oakmont's offense, picking up seven kills. Maxsom got some help from Miguel Orozco and his eight assists. Orozco and Maxsom didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with four apiece.

Oakmont's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for West Campus, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Oakmont will square off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Campus, they will challenge Ponderosa at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
