Preview: Jersey Shore Bulldogs vs. Selinsgrove Seals

Jersey Shore has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Selinsgrove Seals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Saturday, Jersey Shore took their match at home with ease, bagging a 54-6 victory over Milton. Given Jersey Shore's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 56th, while Milton is ranked 205th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jersey Shore can attribute much of their success to Tate Sechrist, who rushed for 119 yards and three touchdowns, and Elijah Jordan, who gained 177 total yards and four touchdowns. Jordan's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Jerrin Loomis also helped out by tossing the rock for 272 yards.

Meanwhile, Selinsgrove had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 58-10 victory over Shikellamy at home. Winning may never get old, but Selinsgrove sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Selinsgrove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tucker Teats, who rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Mark Pastore was another key contributor, throwing for 167 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes.

Jersey Shore has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 10-0-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Selinsgrove, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0-1.
