Basketball Game Preview: Saranac Spartans vs. Northern Adirondack Bobcats

The Saranac Spartans will take on the Northern Adirondack Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Saranac came up short against Beekmantown and fell 51-41. The Spartans have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Northern Adirondack sidestepped Peru for a 55-53 victory. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 607th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northern Adirondack's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Saranac, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Saranac came up short against Northern Adirondack when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 57-50. Can Saranac avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
