Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Satellite's Winning Streak

If Satellite was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Lake Highland Prep last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scorpions fell just short of the East River Falcons by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Scorpions were not able to get on the board.

Satellite saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Reiter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Satellite moved to 15-6 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for East River, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Satellite will host Rockledge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East River, they will be playing at home against University at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
