Recap: Carol City Chiefs vs. Dr. Krop Lightning
The Carol City Chiefs were the 54-46 winner over the Dr. Krop Lightning when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Carol City took a serious blow against Dr. Krop on Thursday, falling 72-43. Carol City was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-20.
Dr. Krop had a senior duo take command as Joseph Washington scored 30 points along with nine rebounds and six assists and Emmanuel Ferguson dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Washington has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Alexandre, who scored nine points.
This is the second loss in a row for Carol City and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Dr. Krop, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carol City will take on International Studies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dr. Krop, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monsignor Pace at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
