Recap: Covenant Day Lions vs. Charlotte Latin Hawks
The Covenant Day Lions entered their tilt with the Charlotte Latin Hawks with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Covenant Day walked away with a 52-42 win over the Hawks on Tuesday. Given Covenant Day's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Hawks are ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Tyree White, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Elijah Green was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Covenant Day is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Charlotte Latin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Day will challenge the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Charlotte Latin, they will head out on the road to face off against the Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
