Volleyball Recap: Mishawaka Marian Takes a Loss

The Mishawaka Marian Knights came up short against the South Bend Riley Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-7, 25-22.

South Bend Riley found their leader in sophomore Tanner Witz, who had nine digs and three aces.

Mishawaka Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South Bend Riley, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.

Mishawaka Marian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Bend Saint Joseph at 6:30 p.m. on the 30th. As for South Bend Riley, they will square off against Westville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
