Softball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Lone Star Rangers, falling 7-1.

Highland Park's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lone Star, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4-1.

Coming up, Highland Park will take on Turner at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Turner's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Highland Park's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lone Star, they will venture away from home to take on Creekview at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekview has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.7 runs per game on average), something Lone Star will no doubt try to take advantage of.
