Volleyball Recap: Clear Creek's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Clear Creek had won four straight games and Elissa James did her part to make it five on Friday. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Clear Lake Falcons thanks in part to James, who had 25 digs and seven assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

While Clear Creek might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Clear Lake scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 26-24, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Clear Lake lost, don't look at Natalie Herlambang. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and six assists. Another player making a difference was Avery Turner, who had six digs and two aces.

Clear Creek's win bumped their record up to 18-15. As for Clear Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-12 record this season.
