Basketball Game Preview: North Plainfield Canucks vs. North Star Academy

Last Saturday, North Plainfield might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Bridgewater-Raritan an easy 78-57 victory. The defeat continues a trend for the Canucks in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, North Star Academy didn't have too much trouble with Belleville on Saturday as they won 55-41.

North Plainfield better keep an eye on Johnny Mayers Ii. He was instrumental in North Star Academy's win, going 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tajee Carter, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 11 points in addition to six assists and three steals.
