            Softball Recap: Prospect Panthers vs. Oak Grove Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Prospect). They blew past the Oak Grove Eagles 20-1 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.
 Kendall Tabora made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk any time she's  pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  stolen base.

 In other batting news,  Sydney Slezak and  Isa Shields did most of the damage at the plate:  Slezak  went 2-for-4 with four  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI, while  Shields  scored four  runs and  stole  Three bases. while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave  Shields a new career-high in  stolen bases.  Molly Hanaray was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Prospect was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .318 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Prospect's victory was  their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 3-1.
 Looking ahead, Prospect will square off against Saratoga at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Prospect's pitching crew has only allowed two  runs per game  this season, so Saratoga's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Oak Grove, they will welcome Del Mar  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Oak Grove is coming into the  matchup on  a  six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
