Volleyball Recap: Del Mar Takes a Loss

Del Mar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Branham Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

Del Mar took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 26-28, 25-9, 15-12.

Del Mar's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Branham, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Del Mar nor Branham have any future games scheduled.
