Baseball Recap: Brooks Takes a Loss

Brooks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-0 to the Bloomington Purple Raiders. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Brooks' defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Bloomington, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Brooks will face off against Simeon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Bloomington, they will host Urbana at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Purple Raiders' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Tigers have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
