Softball Recap: Grayslake Central Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Grayslake Central had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Northside Mustangs get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Emma Andrews, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Aliff, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Grayslake Central lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are 9-4 when they post two or more home runs.

Grayslake Central pushed their record up to 15-14 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Northside, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

As of now, neither Grayslake Central nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
