It's playoff time, and Cinco Ranch had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Fulshear Chargers 47-21 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Marcus Gadlin had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 146 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. Davis Roup was another key player, throwing for 217 yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cinco Ranch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 252 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Cinco Ranch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Slade Copeland and Daniel Scarabino. Scarabino is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last six games he's played. Christian Jackson was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making five total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defending one pass.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trey Clewis, who picked up nine receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 49 yards. Fulshear also got help from Ryland Forks, who showed off his sure hands for 84 receiving yards.

Cinco Ranch's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Fulshear, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 7-4.

Coming up, Cinco Ranch will challenge Cypress Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games. Fulshear does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
