Lutheran entered their tilt with Air Academy on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Kadets with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lutheran's got stronger as the match went on, holding Air Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-12.

Leading Lutheran to victory were Kate Wilson and Madeline Miller. Wilson had ten digs and three aces, while Miller had eight digs and two assists. Wilson has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 11 times she's played.

Defeat or not, Air Academy got some senior leadership from Shelbe Lyons and Jiselle Rodriquez. Lyons had 15 digs and three assists, while Rodriquez had three digs and three aces.

Lutheran's record now sits at 11-3. As for Air Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
