Soccer Recap: Potomac Falls' Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Potomac Falls fought the good fight in their overtime match against Independence on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 3-1 to Independence. Potomac Falls were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than four goals in the four games prior), but Independence's defense proved too tough.

Having lost for the first time this season, Potomac Falls fell to 4-1. As for Independence, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Potomac Falls is set to square off against their familiar foe Riverside at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Independence will challenge rival Lightridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
