Softball Recap: Roswell Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hobbs on Tuesday, Roswell came back down to earth. The Coyotes came up short against the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls on Thursday, falling 12-1. The loss continues a trend for the Coyotes in their meetings with the Cavemen/Cavegirls: they've now lost nine in a row.

Roswell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alayna Tarin, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Roswell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Carlsbad, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Carlsbad beat Roswell by a score of 17-4 later that day.
