Baseball Recap: Pelahatchie Takes a Loss

Pelahatchie managed to slip by Mendenhall the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chiefs lost 12-1 to the Tigers on Friday. The Chiefs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Pelahatchie's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Mendenhall, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Pelahatchie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-0 defeat against St. Andrew's Episcopal on the 1st. As for Mendenhall, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-5 victory against Forest on the 1st.
