Basketball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Starts Season with Win Against John Hancock Academy + How To Watch

Westminster Christian Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 80-35 victory over the John Hancock Academy Rebels. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lions had established a 29-point advantage.

Westminster Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Richards, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Luke Walton was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 16 points.

John Hancock Academy dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westminster Christian Academy is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Loganville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for John Hancock Academy, they will head out to face off against St. George's at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
