Football Game Preview: Riddle Irish vs. Prospect Cougars

For the first time this season, Riddle will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to face off against the Prospect Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prospect took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Riddle, who comes in off a win.

Prospect will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Riddle extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Irish narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Country Christian 28-26.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-28, which was the final score in Prospect's tilt against Perrydale on Friday.

Prospect now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Riddle, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Riddle couldn't quite get it done against Prospect in their previous matchup back in September of 2015 as they fell 60-52. Can the Irish avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
