Baseball Recap: Carvers Bay Takes a Loss

Carvers Bay's last matchup with Johnsonville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Wednesday. The Carvers Bay Bears came up short against the Johnsonville Flashes, falling 7-1. The loss leaves the Bears still looking for their first win of the season.

Carvers Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryant Garman, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Garman brought in this season.

Carvers Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Johnsonville, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carvers Bay will face off against Green Sea Floyds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Johnsonville, they will square off against Hannah-Pamplico at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnsonville's pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so Hannah-Pamplico's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
