Baseball Recap: Live Oak Has No Trouble Against Dunham

Live Oak won the last time they faced Dunham and things went their way on Friday too. The Live Oak Eagles blew past the Dunham Tigers 13-7. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Zant Gurney looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Live Oak got a big performance out of Brayden Allen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Allen a new career-high. Mac Beadle was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Live Oak always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dunham only posted an OBP of .361.

The win made it two in a row for Live Oak and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Dunham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Live Oak will have a chance to go back-to-back against Dunham: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
