Soccer Recap: Williams Field Comes Up Short

Williams Field was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Desert Ridge Jaguars. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Black Hawks couldn't quite close it out.

Tavin Quinn and Jared Lakin scored both of Williams Field's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Williams Field's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Desert Ridge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Williams Field didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against Queen Creek on the 3rd. Desert Ridge has also already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Highland on the 3rd.
