Baseball Recap: Colbert Heights Wildcats vs. Pennington Tigers

Colbert Heights extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-10. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pennington Tigers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2017.

Colbert Heights saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zander Hyde, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

As for Pennington, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games.

On Pennington's side, Camdon Fields got the start for Pennington and what a start it was: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
