Softball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Takes a Loss

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-7 to the McAllen Bulldogs. The Javelinas were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 18-7.

Chaslyn Reeves made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for McAllen, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vela at 6:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for McAllen, they will face off against Pioneer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
