Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

St. Edward had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Nordonia on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Knights 3-0.

St. Edward never let Nordonia on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 26-24.

Michael Gall paced St. Edward's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gall really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 17. He also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Ian Williams, racking up two apiece.

St. Edward pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Nordonia, they moved to 9-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, St. Edward will face off against Archbishop Hoban at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Nordonia, they will square off against Steele at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
