Minooka has gone 8-2 against Oswego recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Minooka Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Oswego Panthers at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Minooka has six straight victories, Oswego has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If Minooka beats Oswego with 53 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Minooka beat Plainfield North on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 53-49.

Madelyn Kiper continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 16 to rack up 23 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. That's the most blocks she has posted since back in November of 2024. Kendall Thomas was another key player, putting up eight points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Oswego came up short against Yorkville on Saturday and fell 74-67. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Foxes are ranked 102nd).

Minooka pushed their record up to 19-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 35.2% in those games and 26.8% outside of them. As for Oswego, their loss dropped their record down to 14-16.

Minooka was able to grind out a solid victory over Oswego in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 57-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Minooka since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
