Baseball Recap: Grant Takes a Loss

Grant lost against Van Nuys on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lancers took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grant saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Gonzalez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Van Nuys, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Coming up, Grant will head out to face off against Vaughn at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Van Nuys, they will take on Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences in a tournament on Saturday. The Wolves are facing the Vipers at the right time seeing as the Vipers are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
