Baseball Recap: Western Brown Comes Up Short

Western Brown easily dispatched Wilmington last Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Broncos fell just short of the Clinton-Massie Falcons by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Broncos couldn't push the score so high this time.

Carter Saylor was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Western Brown's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Clinton-Massie, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Western Brown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-3 defeat against Batavia on the 15th. As for Clinton-Massie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-1 victory against Fairfield on the 11th.
