Wyatt came tearing into Tuesday's match with 17 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.6 goals), and they left with even more momentum. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wyatt Chaparrals who were credited with the victory. The Wyatt Chaparrals got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the South Hills Scorpions's three. Given the Chaparrals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Scorpions are ranked 302nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wyatt's one-goal win came courtesy of Desire Kyanga, who's now up to 11 this season.

Wyatt's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those ten games. As for South Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Wyatt is taking a road trip to challenge Trimble Tech at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
