Softball Recap: Bridgman Triumphs

While Bridgman's victory against Decatur wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bees narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Raiders 9-8. While the Bees didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Bridgman has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Decatur, they moved to 8-6 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Bridgman will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair will be back at it again later today.
