Soccer Game Preview: St. John's vs. Washington International

The St. John's Cadets will square off against the Washington International Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with St. John's sitting on three straight wins and Washington International on seven.

St. John's is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They skirted past Gonzaga 4-3. That's two games straight that St. John's have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Washington International faced DC International in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Red Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Dragons.

St. John's win bumped their record up to 11-5-2. As for Washington International, their victory bumped their record up to 18-2.

St. John's couldn't quite get it done against Washington International when the teams last played back in September of 2022 as they fell 2-0. Can the Cadets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
