Soccer Recap: Greenfield-Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against New Castle on Monday, Greenfield-Central came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Oldenburg Academy Twisters on Saturday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Greenfield-Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Oldenburg Academy are ranked 11th).

Greenfield-Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Oldenburg Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-0-1.

Greenfield-Central wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 5-0 win against Shelbyville on the 29th. As for Oldenburg Academy, they will challenge Columbus East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
