Softball Game Preview: Northwestern Trojans vs. Rock Hill Bearcats

Northwestern is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Rock Hill an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Northwestern Trojans will be playing at home against the Rock Hill Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Northwestern didn't have quite enough to beat Fort Mill and fell 8-7.

Charlie Pendergraph was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Rock Hill's offense. They lost 19-0 to Nation Ford on Friday.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Rock Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Northwestern skirted past Rock Hill 5-4 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does Northwestern have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rock Hill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
