Basketball Game Preview: Triton Cobras vs. Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights

The Triton Cobras will venture away from home to face off against the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Monday, Triton was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 74-73 to Chatfield.

Meanwhile, Kenyon-Wanamingo lost 84-62 to Goodhue on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Wildcats are ranked 89th).

Kenyon-Wanamingo's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Triton, their loss dropped their record down to 19-6.

Everything came up roses for Triton against Kenyon-Wanamingo when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured an 87-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Triton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
