Recap: King Wolves vs. Corona Panthers
The King Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 71-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Corona. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
King's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Davis, who scored 13 points along with nine assists and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Davis posted eight or more assists. Mathias Tinker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
King has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Corona, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King will take on Norco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Corona, they will head out on the road to challenge Santiago at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
