Basketball Recap: Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks vs. Blountstown Tigers
Port St. Joe played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 61-32 loss at the hands of the Blountstown Tigers. The Tiger Sharks haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Several Tiger Sharks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was KK McNair, who posted seven points in addition to six steals and five boards. McNair is becoming a predictor of Port St. Joe's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 3-1 (and 4-9 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Silcox, who scored eight points and three steals.
Blountstown found their leader in sophomore Cyianna Smith, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 15 rebounds. Jalynn Copeland was another key player, going 7 for 10 on her way to 14 points along with eight boards and five steals.
Port St. Joe's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Blountstown, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Port St. Joe has already played their next contest, a 44-16 win against Bozeman on the 31st. As for Blountstown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-15 victory against Altha on the 6th.
