While Carolina International's win against Sugar Creek Charter wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Comets skirted past the Wildcats 64-62. The Comets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Defeat or not, Sugar Creek Charter got some senior leadership from Corde Harrison and Sayvion Shaw. Harrison went 6-for-15 to rack up 19 points in addition to six boards and three steals, while Shaw almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. The matchup was Harrison's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Jaquise Giles was another key player, putting up nine points.

Carolina International pushed their record up to 2-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points over those games. As for Sugar Creek Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carolina International will venture away from home to take on Chambers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sugar Creek Charter, they will head out to challenge Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
