Sachse has gone 8-2 against Rowlett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will head out to face off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rowlett's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Sachse hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Mustangs never let Naaman Forest get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Wednesday.
Logan Schultz made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Sachse got a massive performance out of Cailyn Shane, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave Shane a new career-high. Maya Mcclarity was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Sachse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .773. They are 15-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Rowlett had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Raiders 12-2.
Like Sachse, Rowlett also got a great game from a two-way player: Audrey Torres. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Torres was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Gonzalez, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Julissa Casta?eda, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Sachse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Rowlett, the victory got them back to even at 14-14-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Sachse hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Rowlett struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Sachse might still be hurting after the 9-3 defeat they got from Rowlett in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
