Softball Recap: Glencoe Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Glencoe's offense. They lost 16-0 to the Alexandria Valley Cubs on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Valley Cubs: they've now lost three in a row.

Glencoe's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Alexandria, they pushed their record up to 16-4-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Glencoe will head out on the road to face off against Westbrook Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westbrook Christian has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.8 runs per game on average), something Glencoe will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Alexandria, they will be taking part in a tournament against Fort Payne at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
