Basketball Recap: Grayson Schneider Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat South Newton

There's no place like home for Tri-County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-37 win over the South Newton Rebels on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Cavaliers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tri-County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grayson Schneider led the charge by going 7 of 12 en route to 16 points. Those 16 points gave Schneider a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Pratt, who posted 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why South Newton lost, don't look at Matthew Armstrong. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 14 on his way to 18 points along with five boards and three steals. Armstrong is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

The victory got Tri-County back to even at 7-7. As for South Newton, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12.
