Softball Preview: Brookwood Falcons vs. De Soto Pirates
The Brookwood Falcons will head out to square off against the De Soto Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Brookwood is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
On Thursday, Brookwood didn't have quite enough to beat Wonewoc-Center and fell 7-6.
Deanna Wallace made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Cunitz, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, De Soto entered their match against Wauzeka-Steuben on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Pirates took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets.
De Soto saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sylvia Krueger, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
De Soto suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 5-4. As for Brookwood, their record now sits at 6-5.
