Baseball Recap: Riverton's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Riverton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 6-3 to the American Fork Cavemen on Tuesday. The Silverwolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cavemen earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Gaige Woods was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Riverton moved to 20-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for American Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Riverton will take on Mountain Ridge at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Sentinels have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. American Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
